ATTENTION MICROSOFT: I am about to sue you over "Omega Five Thumb"
I have developed a new medical condition. I am calling this serious, debilitating injury "Omega Five Thumb" thanks to the (possibly irreparable) damage to my left thumb being caused while playing Xbox Live Arcade game Omega Five.
"I was playing Omega Five on Saturday," said me, Gary Cutlack, on the development of the terrible thumb injury. "I played it for about three hours and got to the end of level four. It's quite a good game I'd give it seven or maybe even eight out of ten if you like shooters, although it's perhaps a bit too easy for pros"
"It wasn't until later on in the evening that I noticed my thumb had become sore, and a large area beneath the nail had turned red and bloody. It was painful to the touch and was clearly caused by playing Omega Five - thanks to a combination of the game's control system and Microsoft's negligently-designed Xbox 360 controller". Here is a photo I have taken today of the injury playing Omega Five caused to my thumb:
I want $5m in compensation from Microsoft and developer Hudson over this. I occasionally use my thumb to press the space bar on my keyboard while writing blog updates as part of my job - this injury is therefore causing me serious loss of earnings as a result of slightly slower typing speed. Even typing this update is causing mild pain and occasional discomfort.
I hereby demand at least $5m in damages. Or maybe I'll settle out of court for 400 points and a free download of Rez HD when that comes out. The ball is in your court, Microsoft.
